Job summary

TMX Group is seeking a Senior Specialist to lead analytics infrastructure for the Post Trade Risk Management team. The role focuses on core deployment pipelines, database management, and version control, enabling quantitative developers to deliver risk models and BI tools.

This hybrid position is based in Montreal, QC, with 2–3 days in the office. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in Platform/Data Engineering with quantitative or risk app development, and strong Python, SQL, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, SE, FE, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimize automated deployment pipelines and artifact repositories (Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Vault).
• Oversee containerization and delivery of Python-based calculation apps to production environments.
• Manage Risk analytics databases, ensuring data integrity and optimized schema design.
• Act as a versatile quantitative developer for risk calculations, models, or BI tools when needed.
• Serve as the technical liaison with TMX GTS, translating risk team needs into infrastructure requirements.
• Establish and enforce best practices for code versioning and automated deployments.
