Job summary

Town of Caledon is seeking a Manager, Roads and Stormwater Operations/Maintenance who will lead the maintenance programs, oversee contracts, and manage staffing and budgets in the Public Works department.

The role requires a post-secondary diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with CET, or Civil Engineering degree with P.Eng, plus at least 10 years of supervisory experience in municipal works, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of supervisory, management, or project management experience.
• Experience in engineering, road operations, and municipal works.
• Public sector unionized environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee year-round road maintenance and stormwater programs.
• Develop and monitor operating and capital budgets (~$17 million).
• Lead staff and contractors with safety and OHSA compliance.
• Prepare reports to Council and support planning initiatives.
