Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to maintain facilities in the Kimberley area with a broad skill set in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and general repairs. You will conduct inspections, perform repairs, and coordinate with contractors to keep properties in top condition.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience, strong problem-solving, and reliable work habits. The role supports a hybrid work model with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role with a broad range of repair skills.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and identify necessary repairs or maintenance for buildings and grounds.
• Conduct repairs related to plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general structural maintenance.
• Assist with basic electrical tasks, such as changing light bulbs, testing outlets, and minor wiring repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests and work efficiently to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized tool inventory and work area.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance performed and materials used.
• Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are required.
• Contribute to the overall upkeep and presentation of facilities in Kimberley.
