Job summary

NewGround invites applications for a Junior Interior Specialist role based in Waterloo, Ontario. You will assist the design team by generating Revit/AutoCAD interior drawings for construction documents and supporting finish selections with research, while contributing to presentation boards and project manuals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (ARIDO status preferred) and 0–3 years of professional experience in commercial interiors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or related field.

Responsibilities

Generate Revit and/or AutoCAD interior drawings for construction documents
Assist designers with finish selections and conduct product research
Produces finish boards and drawings for presentations
Generate finish boxes and/or the Finish and Furniture Guide for all projects
Produces content for client presentations, construction documents, project manual, and will pick- up redlines for projects
Coordinates with A&E, Environmental, Build, and Consultants
Interface with manufacturer’s representatives to schedule appointments
Maintains Sample library on an ongoing basis
Perform all other related work, as assigned or as apparent
