Job summary

Destination BC, a provincially funded Crown corporation, seeks a Financial Analyst to provide expert financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and guidance to support sound financial management. The role reports to the Controller and contributes to budget planning across the organization.

Hybrid work is available for employees in the Vancouver region, with in-office days on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and telework options for other days.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in financial management or business administration with related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year relevant experience; OR diploma with 2 years; OR certificate with 3 years.
• Experience in financial management, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains accounting, expenditure, commitment control and records management processes and systems, ensuring policy compliance.
• Provides financial, accounting, budgeting, and forecasting advice to business units and divisions.
• Identifies opportunities to improve financial policies, procedures, systems and practices, and implements enhancements.
