Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical engineering with mining experience.
• Strong knowledge of mine electrical systems, HV distribution, and protection schemes.
• Experience with power system analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Design, specify, and manage installation of electrical power systems for mining operations.
• Ensure safe and reliable operation of underground and surface electrical infrastructure.
• Develop and implement electrical maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
• Conduct power system studies including load flow, fault analysis, and protection coordination.
• Oversee electrical project execution to comply with mining regulations and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues in mining machinery, conveyors, ventilation, and dewatering systems.
• Manage electrical contractors and ensure quality of work.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
