Job summary

Lauren Services is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Designer with 4+ years of experience in oil and gas midstream and industrial facilities. The role focuses on electrical power and controls deliverables, with ownership of design packages from development through field execution.

You will work on brownfield projects, including facility modifications, meter stations, and power distribution upgrades, collaborating with engineers across disciplines. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology; EE degree may be considered with hands-on experience.
• 4+ years of electrical design in Oil & Gas EPC/EPCM or engineering consulting environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of electrical and controls design deliverables with limited supervision.
• Prepare and maintain electrical design deliverables (cable trays, layouts, load lists, single-line diagrams, schematics).
• Perform electrical design calculations (voltage drop, lighting levels, cable tray fill).
• Review drawings/field data to identify gaps and conflicts; ensure constructible designs for brownfield projects.
• Support field verification and 3D model development; maintain design integrity and quality.
