Job summary

Humankind Recruitment in Halifax offers a Data Loss Prevention Security Analyst role with hybrid work (2 days in office). You will support the deployment and maintenance of data classification and DLP technologies, focusing on technical data security controls and risk management.

The candidate will take ownership of workstreams, work independently, and seek opportunities to enhance the capability while collaborating with Security Operations and GRC teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with DLP or data classification technologies.
• Understanding of data security controls and policy configurations.
• Experience with data discovery or data flow mapping.
• Knowledge of GDPR/global privacy frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure DLP and data classification tools.
• Map data flows and document findings.
• Produce data-driven risk reports.
• Maintain regulatory awareness across GDPR/global frameworks.
• Collaborate with Security Operations and GRC.
• Develop data handling training and awareness.
