Job summary

The role emphasizes grid transformation, reliability, and safety. The ideal candidate has a PE credential, 5+ years of experience, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer registered with APEGA.
• At least 5 years of experience in planning electric distribution systems.
• Strong knowledge of power systems and regulatory concepts.
• Experience with distribution planning tools and data analysis.
• Ability to work with large data sets and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify feasible technical solutions aligned with EDTI long-term plan.
• Build relationships across EPCOR, EDTI, and industry groups.
• Ensure distribution system delivers reliable performance using appropriate metrics.
• Develop accurate power flow models and load forecasts for delivery points.
• Support long-term distribution system planning and 10-year plans.
• Conduct studies, stamp outputs, and ensure compliance and authentication.
• Plan interconnection of distributed generation resources.
