Job summary

Abbeal is seeking an Intermediate Application Analyst with a developer background to join the listed derivatives IT team of a major Canadian bank. The role focuses on Python or Java development, integration work, and production support from Montreal or Toronto with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities include supporting and evolving applications, building integrations, setting up monitoring and automation, and contributing to testing and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years in application analysis, software development or application support.
• Proficient in Python and/or Java, SQL.
• Experience with REST APIs and integration, Git and GitHub.
• AWS fundamentals (Cloud Practitioner level) and automated testing principles.
• Fluent English required; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support, configure, develop and evolve the listed derivatives team's applications.
• Build and maintain integrations between internal and external systems.
• Set up application monitoring, automation and regression testing.
• Provide production support: incident management and root cause analysis.
• Document in Confluence and track work in Jira.
