Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an AI Solution Architect to lead the solution architecture for the shared AI foundations powering intelligent applications and agents across Bombardier. You will upgrade the enterprise context layer while establishing MLOps and AI engineering practices at scale.

This is a senior, hands‑on solutioning role: you will set direction, create reference implementations, review designs, and work directly in codebases to resolve complex technical issues and unblock delivery teams.

Qualifications

• More than 8 years of professional software/architecture experience in enterprise systems.
• Over 3 years defining solution or platform architectures while remaining hands‑on.
• Strong Python and another enterprise language (TypeScript/C#/Java/.NET).
• MLOps, DevOps, GenAI practices at scale (Git, CI/CD, IaC, monitoring).
• AI-enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, vector search, prompts orchestration.
• Enterprise data integration with APIs, data models, metadata, and docs.
• Knowledge graphs/Ontologies (RDF/OWL) production use.
• Experience with Azure and related enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the target solution architecture and roadmaps with reusable patterns.
• Design secure access and combination of data, documents, APIs, and tools.
• Implement reference architectures for RAG, semantic search, and context engineering.
• Define enterprise MLOps/GenAIOps approach, CI/CD, testing, and production support.
• Create architecture decision records and reusable components for teams.
• Remain hands‑on in Python, TypeScript, C#, .NET; review code and unblock delivery.
• Mentor developers and lead design reviews to raise engineering capability.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, data governance, cloud, and business stakeholders.
