The role includes ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting HVDC systems, and coordinating work with third-party service providers. Candidates should have a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology and at least 7 years of experience in the electric utility sector. Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years electric utility experience or industrial plant experience.
• Protection & Control experience/background is an asset.
• Prior HVDC experience would be advantageous.
• Availability for on call 24/7 coverage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of AltaLink's HVDC assets.
• Perform ongoing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on HVDC equipment/systems.
• Participate in root cause and failure mode investigations on abnormal equipment operations.
