Work Location

This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The work schedule for this role will be seven days on, seven days off. There is potential for the role to transition in the future to seven days on, seven days off, seven nights on, seven days off.

For those not living locally, BHP provides relocation assistance to the local Jansen area. Alternatively, you can enjoy the convenience and comfort of our onsite camp accommodation at Discovery Lodge during your shifts.

BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.

The Challenge Ahead

We are excited to share that we are recruiting for permanent positions for HVAC Technicians for our Jansen Mine.

This position is responsible for executing planned and unplanned maintenance activities within the surface processing facilities, including the crushing, mill, ore storage, tailings and loadout facilities. Your work will contribute to optimal production, equipment performance and availability, as well as improving reliability and ensuring that we are well placed for future growth within the mine.

In This Role, You Will
  • Service and maintain Boilers, MUA systems, and HVAC equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues effectively
  • Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
  • Provide technical expertise within the team to facilitate planned, unplanned and or breakdown maintenance and preventative shut down maintenance
  • Develop close working relationships with operations personnel to ensure that all plant downtime issues are escalated correctly and remedied promptly
  • Willingly embed yourself into BHP’s Operating System, culture and ways of working
  • Carry out unplanned and planned routine maintenance, inspections, and checks to processing equipment
