Job summary

Reliance Home Comfort is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Maple Ridge, BC. You will professionally service HVAC equipment, ensure safe operation of installations, and help customers with maintenance and care.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent completed.
• Domestic Gas Fitter B license (or in progress).
• 3–5 years field experience in service of Water Heaters & HVAC equipment.
• Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Willing to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
• Be physically capable of performing all work, including lifting up to 15 kg and outdoor work in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Service HVAC equipment per manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Ensure the safe operation of all installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and assist with selling other company products and services.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and solve problems to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain the company vehicle to a neat, clean, and safe standard.

What will you do?

What do you bring?

• Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must have a Domestic Gas Fitter B license (or in progress)
• 3 – 5 years of field experience in service of Water Heaters & HVAC equipment, would be an asset
• Must have at least a Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Be willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting of 15 kg up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather within environments that can be dusty and/or slippery.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
• Must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Must have outstanding customer service skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand/learn new technologies (i.e. Electronics/ electricity).
• Very punctual and dependable.
• Must be willing to wear Company provided uniform.
• Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standard.
