Overview

What you will be doing:

Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about the company and its customers.

Responsible to professionally service HVAC equipment and accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.

To ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.

You will be responsible for being willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service‑oriented team.

You will be responsible for creating a positive relationship with customers; offering for sale other company products and services and demonstrating your ability to communicate, problem solve, to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Professionally service HVAC equipment and accessory items in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
  • Learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service‑oriented team.
  • Create a positive relationship with customers; offer other company products and services and demonstrate communication and problem-solving to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • A growth mindset: dependable, ambitious and wanting to grow with Reliance.
  • Completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Must have a Gas Technician II license.
  • Received certificate of qualification (C of Q) as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (Ontario – 313d).
  • Must have valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card.
  • Must have at least a Class G Driver’s License.
  • 3 – 5 years of field experience in service of water heaters and HVAC equipment (asset).
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.
  • Physically capable of performing all work required (lifting up to 15 kg, bending, squatting/kneeling, outdoor/indoor work in various weather and dusty/slippery environments).
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to understand and learn new technologies (e.g., electronics/electricity).
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Willing to wear company-provided uniform.
