How will you do it

We are looking for skilled HVAC Mechanics with practical work experience in HVAC piping, plumbing, pipefitting, and/or mechanical equipment service industry.

Mechanics must have practical experience in light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment. May be required to pass an examination to demonstrate specific skills. The scope of work includes commercial HVACR service. Servicemen may partner with Journeymen in repairing centrifugal, steam turbines, and open-drive screw chillers. Responsibilities include maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.

We provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with recognition, monetary rewards, and opportunities for advancement. We also offer incentive programs and prioritize employee safety. Tools, uniforms, and a company vehicle are provided to support your work and ensure high standards of service.

Your role involves providing top-tier service to solve facility inefficiencies and address service-related issues. As a trusted advisor, you will deliver solutions during commissioning and aftermarket service, including recommendations for efficiency improvements and upselling opportunities. You will also prepare quotes to support your recommendations.

What we look for

Required

  • Willingness to learn and responsibility for troubleshooting, repair, and aftermarket services in this growing business.
  • Good standing with LOCAL 787.
  • At least a G2 gas fitter's license.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting within the HVAC industry, including rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, and plumbing.
  • Experience in mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators on pumps, fans, and compressors.
  • Willingness to travel 10% to 20% for customer support, troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
  • Interest in career development through training programs in HVAC products and sales quoting.
  • Ability to collaborate with local mechanics, servicemen, and apprentices.
  • Strong interpersonal, digital, and written communication skills to accurately diagnose and communicate problems, causes, and solutions.
  • Ability to provide quotes and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for learning and applying knowledge on the job.
  • Prioritize safety in all tasks.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset.
  • Ability to obtain government security clearance.
