Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a HVAC Road Technician - Level 2.

The HVAC Road Technician - Level 2 troubleshoots and diagnoses complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems, performs advanced/complex repair on all types of equipment and scopes customers’ needs and provides solutions. They may lead and train other team members in repairing equipment in the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager. This position offers a dynamic mix of in-shop repairs and on-the-road service calls, ensuring a varied and engaging work environment. Education or experience that prepares you for success:

• Previous experience with repairing and maintaining Power or HVAC equipment
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:

• Solid understanding and repair of mechanical, electrical and diesel equipment, generators, HVAC and air compressors
• Solid understanding of refrigeration
• Solid understanding of electrical engines and controllers
• Solid operation of dehumidification equipment
• Experience with and comprehension of VFDs, soft starts, and “across the line” motor starting preferred
• Some factory diesel, generator, compressor, HVAC training

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 25 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
