Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications for Linesets.
  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform low voltage control wiring.
  • Conduct final hook-up and commissioning of air conditioners and heat pumps.
  • Conduct routine inspections for efficient operation.
  • Service existing refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
  • Coordinate with the service team, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and industry standards.

Job description

Ocean Park Mechanical (OPM) is one of the premier design-build mechanical contractors in Western USA and Western Canada, with operations in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, and British Columbia. Purpose of Position:

Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.

Reporting Structure:

The HVAC technician reports directly to the Retro Fit Service Manager or Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications for Linesets
  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Perform low voltage control wiring
  • Conduct final hook-up and commissioning of air conditioners and heat pumps, either as a Journeyman or assist as an apprentice
  • Conduct routine inspections for efficient operation
  • Service existing refrigeration and HVAC equipment
  • Coordinate with the service team, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues
  • Follow safety protocols and industry standards

Experience, Education & Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Red Seal or Apprentice in Refrigeration and HVAC

Skills & Proficiencies:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and troubleshooting
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
