Role Overview

We are seeking a talented HVAC Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the design and construction support of HVAC systems, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and safety standards. As a senior team member, you will mentor junior engineers, manage high-impact projects, and interface with stakeholders including clients, engineering management, and project management.

Note: Travel to the site near Vancouver, BC, may be required on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

1. Takes professional responsibility and acts as the engineer of record for deliverables under their supervision.
2. Sets clear goals and expectations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
3. Promotes a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
4. Performs engineering design of industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
5. Has experience with HVAC designs for food and food processing facilities.
6. Supports equipment procurement, post-award activities, and construction support.
7. Supports permitting applications for HVAC design (sign Schedule B).
8. Collaborates with internal teams, clients, and external partners to define project requirements.
9. Serves as the primary contact for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
10. Prepares and delivers presentations, reports, and updates for diverse audiences.
11. Builds strong relationships with vendors and partners.
12. Ensures projects meet regulatory and safety standards.
13. Implements quality control measures to maintain high standards across deliverables.
14. Addresses and resolves compliance-related challenges proactively.

The ideal candidate will:

• Exhibit strong technical knowledge and expertise in HVAC design.
• Demonstrate the ability to balance project budget and schedule constraints while upholding safe and compliant designs.
• Thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with P.Eng accreditation with EGBC required.
• Expertise in industrial HVAC refrigeration for food and food processing facilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement.
