Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, which can be dramatically reduced by converting to heat pumps, however, adoption lags due to high cost and friction in the retrofit process today. Solving one layer of the value chain won't move the needle on adoption. Mass adoption will come when it becomes a no-brainer for homeowners to transition. That is why Jetson is building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company. Jetson will make it simple, transparent and affordable for everyone to get a heat pump.

Job Overview

We are looking for extremely motivated and passionate HVAC Installers who would like to be a part of an exciting new company fighting climate change through disrupting the residential HVAC industry.

We are looking for experienced HVAC Mechanics / Technicians specializing in heat pump installations and maintenance, consistent with NOC 72402. Their deep install experience will help us continue to refine and optimize the processes as we scale implementation across North America. Candidates should have extensive experience in installing and servicing HVAC systems, particularly heat pumps, in a residential setting. This role involves replacing traditional heating systems with our proprietary heat pump systems and controls and collaborating with engineering teams to refine product functionality and installation processes.

Responsibilities

• Install new heat pump systems as per technical and regulatory standards.
• Remove existing heating and cooling systems safely and efficiently.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and replacing filters.
• Test and troubleshoot HVAC systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Adhere to detailed blueprints, schematics, and residential building codes during installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineering teams to enhance product design and installation procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service by effectively addressing client concerns and queries.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Mechanic / Technician or similar role
• HVAC / R Red Seal (preferred), but also open to experienced apprentices
• Gas Fitter B (preferred), but also open to experienced apprentices
• Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems with preference for heat pumps
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Familiarity with residential building codes and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $28 - $55 per hour
