Job description

Overview

We are seeking a licensed candidate; however, if no licensed candidates are available, qualified apprentices will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of industrial Natural Gas Heaters, Air Conditioners, Make-up Air Units and associated equipment
• Support the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and provide feedback to optimize plant reliability
• Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures
• Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment
• Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification as a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (313A) is required. We are seeking a licensed candidate; however, if no licensed candidates are available, qualified apprentices will be considered
• Preference will be given to candidates with a G.1 Gas Fitting licence and Ozone Depletion Card
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify and diagnose malfunctions
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with other departments
• Three years industrial trade experience is considered an asset

Schedule

Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts (Kidd Operations reserves the right to modify working schedules as necessary, in accordance with applicable notice requirements and labor regulations.)

As this position is in a safety-sensitive environment, final candidates must successfully complete Drug & Alcohol testing as part of our pre-employment process.
