With a strong presence in the industry and a commitment to innovation and service, they are looking to add a dynamic Engineering Salesperson to their lower mainland office.Position Summary:
As the Engineering Salesperson, you will play a key role in servicing the engineering community, helping clients design and implement HVAC solutions by selecting and detailing appropriate products and systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous learning and customer satisfaction.Salary range is in the $80,000-$100,000 range + bonusPrimary Responsibilities:- Act as a technical consultant by providing engineers, contractors, and clients with HVAC system recommendations that support design objectives and operational efficiency.
- Stay at the forefront of industry standards, local codes, and emerging technologies to ensure both compliance and competitive advantage.
- Drive product awareness and adoption by working closely with the engineering community to secure specifications or approved-equal status for company offerings on major projects.
- Develop deep, long-lasting partnerships with key decision-makers across the building ecosystem—from architects and developers to contractors and facility owners.
- Facilitate technical training sessions and product presentations, including Lunch & Learns, to promote new technologies and educate stakeholders.
- Participate in industry events and associations to maintain visibility and influence within the HVAC community.
- Deliver a high standard of customer engagement by offering responsive, knowledgeable support from concept through project completion.
- Pursue ongoing professional development through self-guided learning and manufacturer-sponsored training (some travel required).
- Support internal initiatives and event planning, including client appreciation functions, trade show participation, and team meetings.
- Contribute to cross-functional efforts by collaborating with sales and product teams to identify and act on opportunities across multiple product lines.
- Execute miscellaneous duties as required, supporting leadership with tasks that align with strategic goals.
Skills & Qualifications:- 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a solid background in HVAC design and applications.
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering (degree or diploma); P.Eng designation is considered a strong asset.
- Competent in reading and analyzing construction and mechanical drawings.
- Confident and clear communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Adept at working independently, managing priorities, and solving problems under minimal supervision.
- Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and forward-thinking, with a strong sense of personal integrity and accountability.
