Job summary

United Refrigeration, Inc. is seeking a dependable team member to greet customers, answer calls, and provide knowledgeable assistance. You will process orders, act on upsell opportunities, and manage invoicing and returns using a computer system.

The role requires physical effort (lifting up to 75 lbs), basic HVAC knowledge, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires moving, lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders.
• Exposure to chemicals and solvents.
• Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input.
• Ability to cross-reference and recommend substitutes.
• Ability to get along with customers and other employees, follow directions and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously by name (if known).
• Answer telephones promptly identifying yourself and the company.
• Provide professional and knowledgeable assistance to customers.
• Process customer orders accurately and timely; fulfill requests.
• Upsell by suggesting additional products.
• Use computer to invoice, credits, returns, and procurement.
• Load/unload vehicles using proper equipment.
• Break down and store stock; maintain clean work area.
• Attend to overtime and inventory requirements; participate in after-hours calls.
