Job summary

Mercor in Montreal is seeking a Humanities Expert for a part-time contract (10–20 hours/week).

You will analyze humanities texts for interpretive depth, synthesize themes across periods and contexts, and interpret primary sources to support clear, well-argued conclusions grounded in the material. This role emphasizes rigorous writing and critical analysis with evidence from sources.

Compensation ranges CAD 40–50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in History, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, or related field.
• Proven experience in academic writing, source interpretation, or historical analysis.
• Strong ability to connect abstract concepts with concrete historical examples.
• Excellent writing, reasoning, and analytical skills.
