Job summary

Saputo Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Manager to partner with site leadership across Ville Saint-Laurent, Boucherville, Quebec City, and Mont-Laurier facilities.

You will implement HR priorities, support employee and labour relations, recruitment, change management, and engagement while aligning HR initiatives with operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • five to seven years of progressive HR experience in a high-volume manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple sites is an asset.
  • Significant experience in labour relations and coaching managers.
  • Strong communication, influencing, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual French and English, spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between sites.
  • CRHA or CRIA designation is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to managers, supervisors, and employees on HR practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to site leadership teams and help achieve operational objectives.
  • Establish HR priorities across sites and align with organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement initiatives for employee engagement, talent development, performance, and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practices in labour relations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and transformation initiatives with operations.
  • Leverage HR metrics to inform recommendations and support decisions.
  • Act as an ambassador of Saputo's values, culture, and behaviours.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Overview Of The Role

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources - Quebec, the Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic business partner to the leadership teams at the Ville Saint-Laurent, Boucherville, Quebec City, and Mont-Laurier manufacturing facilities and distribution centers.

The incumbent is responsible for implementing human resources priorities and supporting operations in the areas of employee relations, labour relations, talent development, recruitment, change management, and employee engagement.

This role actively contributes to achieving business objectives by aligning HR initiatives with operational needs while fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous development.

How you will make contribution that matter:
  • Provide guidance and support to managers, supervisors, and employees on human resources practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to site leadership teams and contribute to the achievement of operational objectives.
  • Establish HR priorities across the various sites and ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategic direction.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that drive employee engagement, talent development, performance, and retention.

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning activities.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement and organizational transformation initiatives in collaboration with operational teams.
  • Leverage HR metrics and data to inform recommendations and support decision-making.
  • Act as an ambassador of the organization's values, culture, and expected behaviours.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of five to seven years of progressive Human Resources experience in a high-volume manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple sites is considered an asset.
  • Significant experience in labour relations and coaching managers.
  • Strong communication, influencing, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong team player with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.
  • Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written).
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly between sites.
  • CRHA or CRIA designation is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfort working with HR systems and technologies.

Salary: $92,795-121,795
  • Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
