As Director, HR Operations, you'll be a key member of our senior HR leadership team, driving high-impact, employee-focused support and services that align with our business goals and values. Role Overview Reporting to our VP, Human Resources, as Director, HR Operations, you will provide strategic leadership to a team of professionals supporting initiatives within Emera Corporate, Caribbean and smaller operating companies. Your key responsibilities include: Partner with business leaders to build and execute strategic HR plans including workforce planning, talent management, and total rewards. Collaborate with Total Rewards and Talent Management teams to determine priorities and execution plans. Drive operational excellence by optimizing people processes and evolving HR strategy. Provide strategic oversight and development to the HR team supporting HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, HR communications, and Inclusion strategy. Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies. Anticipate organizational needs, workforce trends, and challenges to deliver impactful strategic HR solutions. What skills will make you successful? You recognize yourself in many of the skills listed below: Minimum of 10 years of progressive senior HR experience. Bachelor's degree in business, psychology, human resources, CHRP, or related field or bring equivalent experience. Proven ability to proactively create and implement strategic plans in collaboration with stakeholders. Strong relationship-building skills and credibility as an HR partner across all levels. Up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices. Collaborative mindset with a focus on practical outcomes for diverse stakeholders. Exceptional communication and facilitation skills and acts with candour and authenticity. A passion for developing people and fostering a high-performance culture. Demonstrate leadership in driving digital change, by adapting to and championing new technologies for processes, reporting and insights. Experience with US employment legislation is an asset.
