Our client in the manufacturing space is seeking a fulltime/perm HR Supervisor. This role is responsible for leading a team of HR Generalists while providing strategic and operational HR support to the business. The HR Supervisor will oversee day-to-day HR activities, ensure compliance with employment standards and company policies, and partner with leadership to support a positive, safe, and productive work environment.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of HR Generalists, providing coaching, development, and performance feedback.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices across the team.
- Prioritize and delegate workload to support operational and strategic HR needs.
- Serve as an escalation point for employee and manager concerns.
- Lead investigations into employee relations matters and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Partner with managers to address performance, attendance, and workplace behaviour issues.
- Oversee recruitment efforts managed by the HR Generalists, ensuring alignment with staffing needs.
- Support workforce planning to meet production demands and business growth.
- Ensure onboarding and orientation programs are delivered effectively.
- Ensure accurate and timely HR administration, including records, benefits, payroll input, and HRIS data integrity.
- Maintain compliance with Ontario employment laws (ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code).
- Partner with corporate HR on policy implementation and audit readiness.
- Support leadership in developing training, succession planning, and talent development programs.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives to strengthen culture and retention.
- Provide guidance to the HR team on development opportunities.
- Collaborate with Health & Safety representatives to ensure compliance with OHSA
- Support Joint Health & Safety Committee activities.
- Provide guidance and administration of collective agreements and labour relations (if applicable).
Requirements:
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g. Workday)
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environments preferred.
- CHRL designation (or working towards it) is an asset.
- Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and manage complex employee relations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
