Overview:The Human Resources Department is looking for a HR Coordinator to support the Canada HR Coverage team. The HR Coordinator, based in the Calgary office, will be responsible of welcoming and on-boarding process as well participating in the communication of policies and procedures to employees. The coordinator manages the many day-to-day administrative functions of the HR team. The ability to interact remotely with clients, HR teams in all locations and handle high volumes of work will be critical for success in this role. General Responsibilities:- Actively work with business leaders and employees to support the day-to-day needs including:Ensure proper support in all steps of the employee life cycle from new hire onboarding to termination
- Partner with multiple HR functions such as Recruiting, Learning and Development, Diversity, Compensation, and Reporting, HR Operations and other Coverage teams on various initiatives.
- Ensure we are creating and maintaining consistent policies across the organization and working with appropriate partners when adjustments need to be made
- Coordinate international transfers into and out of Canada with the HRBP
- Answering employee questions on HR policies and processes
- Managing the ergonomics request process
- Managing maternity, paternity, parental leaves
- Update HR system with transactions (Workday)
- Setting up and managing non-technical HR-related training
- Work on ad-hoc projects as required
Required Skills:1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or equivalent.
2. 1-2 years of HR Coordinator experience
3. Ability to work independently
4. Ability to multi-task and follow up with sense of urgency on all matters
5. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
6. Ability to handle confidential matters and information
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
8. Knowledge of Workday HR system an asset
9. Highly organized and able to prioritize with attention to detail
10. Excellent business acumen
11. A strong client focus with attention to detail and analytical skills
Desired Skills:12. Financial Services or Technology Industry experience
13. Advanced Excel skills (V-look ups, pivot tables, etc)
14. HR Systems: Experience using Workday
