Our client is a rapidly growing law firm servicing clients in BC, Alberta, and the Yukon. They are looking to hire a Human Resources Manager for their law firm in Chilliwack, B.C. This is a permanent full-time in-office position.

They invite individuals with a minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration who are looking for continued learning and growth to apply.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) :

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the varying departments.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Address employee concerns and conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Implement and communicate policies that are in line with the values of the company.
  • Identify training needs of employees and assist with the coordination of professional development programs.
  • Oversee and conduct annual performance evaluations.
  • Advise on salary structures, bonuses, and other incentive programs.
  • Develop initiatives that promote health and well-being and monitor employee satisfaction.
  • Oversee and manage the tracking of employee vacation, sick leave, and other leave requests.
  • Manage extended health benefits programs by overseeing plan administration, ensuring employee eligibility, and communicating plan details to employees.
  • Event planning which includes coordinating logistics, managing schedules, and supporting the execution of company events, meetings, and team building activities.
  • Primary liaison for the outsourced marketing company ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and skills :

  • Detail oriented, with superior organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • The ability to excel and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Willingness to take on tasks as needed.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Experience :

  • Human resources management : 2 years (preferred)

Salary is competitive and commensurate with your ability and experience. Salary is $75,-$, per annum, dependent on experience.

Full benefit package is offered upon successful completion of probationary period, which includes a health spending account and RRSP matching program. Other benefits include a discretionary bonus.
