Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources
Manager to lead and enhance our HR operations. This individual will partner with
leaders across the organization to foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-driven
workplace culture. The HR Manager will supervise the HR Coordinator and be
responsible for maintaining HR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with
Think Small’s mission and long-term goals. - Employee Training and Development: Plan and facilitate monthly leadership
training sessions that enhance professional growth and team performance. - Team Management: Supervise the HR Coordinator, offering mentorship,
performance feedback, and development opportunities. - Talent Acquisition and Retention: Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding
practices that attract and retain diverse, high-quality talent. - Employee Relations: Provide HR guidance to employees and managers, foster a
respectful workplace culture, and address issues promptly and professionally. - Performance Management: Support the design, implementation, and
evaluation of performance review processes to drive growth and accountability. - Compliance and Policy Oversight: Ensure organizational compliance with
federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain accurate and confidential
personnel files. - Benefits Management: Administer employee benefits programs including
medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, 401(k), workers’ compensation, and
unemployment compensation. Serve as a resource for staff questions and
manage vendor relationships. - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Promote DEI practices in all areas of HR
and lead efforts to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related
field (HR certification preferred). - Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a
supervisory or managerial capacity. - Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and employee
benefits administration. - Proven ability to lead trainings, coach staff, and support leadership
development. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills with professionalism and confidentiality to convey messages and updates across teams.
- Passion for advancing equity and quality in early childhood education.

- Salary: The salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000, based on experience and educational background.
