A leading human resources firm in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in HR, focus on continuous improvement, and promote an inclusive workplace culture. Reporting to the President, the Human Resources Manager develops and executes the HR strategy that supports the business objectives by developing high performing people, teams and leaders. Providing strategic and technical leadership, they develop, implement, monitor, and continually improve people programs to ensure the organization has the right people in the right places to achieve and exceed business objectives.
The HR Manager is focused on improvement - working continuously to find efficiencies and ways to bring improvements across the business. They positively influence both the employee experience and the organizational culture, focusing on maintaining a welcoming and inclusive workplace for all.
Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Admin, Marketing or a related field
CPHR Designation
5+ years of experience working in Human Resources, preferably in this or an associated industry.
Business savvy with excellent interpersonal skills
Well-developed communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with all levels within organization in a professional manner and to manage difficult conversations
Strong technology skills with proficiency in a variety of Social Media platforms and Microsoft Office is required.
High attention to detail with the ability to focus on key details and data to inform decisions and recommendations
Dedicated team player who demonstrates initiative and autonomy
Operates with the highest degree of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
Skilled in managing multiple priorities effectively
