About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organized HR Generalist & Office Coordinator to join our team. This position, combining human resources generalist duties with office operations oversight is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing people operations with workplace coordination. You’ll be the go-to person for employee lifecycle coordination, day-to-day HR support, and a key contributor to our workplace culture. You’ll also manage office operations by leading the planning and execution of employee events and engagement activities that contribute to a smooth, engaging, and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources (Approx. 70%)

  • Act as first point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries - serving as a trusted point of contact for employee questions or concerns
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle : recruitment, onboarding, internal transitions, and offboarding
  • Maintain and update HR policies, handbooks, and procedures in compliance with applicable employment standards
  • Support managers with performance review processes and employee development initiatives
  • Develop and coordinate employee engagement efforts and wellness programs
  • Manage HRIS and maintain accurate employee records and documentation
  • Assist leadership with compensation benchmarking, job descriptions, and role alignment as we grow
  • Support leadership with internal communications and culture-building efforts

Office Management (Approx. 30%)

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the physical office (supplies, vendors, space planning)
  • Coordinate office events, team meetings, and celebrations
  • Support travel, meeting, and logistics coordination of the team, as needed
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming workplace environment
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling and record-keeping

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a human resources or office coordination role
  • Solid understanding of New Brunswick employment standards and HR best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
  • Discreet and professional with confidential information
  • Proficient in HR software tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS, or payroll systems)
  • Experience in a fast-growing or tech / SaaS environment is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • CPHR designation (or working toward it) is considered an asset
