Job Description

How You’ll MakeanImpact:

  • Provide HR support to Operations
  • Recruitment and selection of frontline employees
  • Assist Operations with Human Resources/Labour Relations related worksite investigations
  • Liaise with HR Manager to provide guidance on Employee/Labour Relations matters (e.g., investigation results, issues of constructive counselling, discipline, provincial/federal guidelines)
  • Liaise with HR Manager in response to allegations of unfair treatment (Legal, Human Rights, and ESA complaints) and grievance resolution
  • Manage employee leaves
  • Training and onboarding of frontline employees
  • Maintain HR and other records
  • Contribute to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members
  • Other office related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

What You’ll Need toSucceed:

  • University Degree or College diploma in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in Labour Relations is an asset
  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
  • CHRP designation is an asset
  • Experience managing attendance
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or service provider environment is an asset
  • Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands
  • Ability to develop new and maintain existing relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Strong ethics and integrity
  • Availability to work on-site 5 days/week
