Responsibilities:

  • Support HR Business Partners for the eastern region (Quebec, Ontario, Maritimes).
  • Handle administrative HR tasks, including drafting employee discipline letters.
  • Conduct first-level conversations with managers regarding HR matters.
  • Assist with HR investigations and acquisitions.
  • Provide support to unionized employees.
  • Collaborate closely with managers and other HR team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employees across diverse business lines (construction, tech, mechanics).

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory bilingualism in French and English, with the ability to fluidly switch between languages and accurately translate HR-sensitive terms.
  • Strong understanding of provincial employment legislation across various provinces, or proven resourcefulness in finding this information.
  • Exceptional initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability to prioritize and pivot with business needs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with HRIS Workday is beneficial.
