Where do you fit in?
The Full-Time HR Generalist will be responsible for performing HR-related duties in the following functional areas: talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, Workers' Comp, leave administration, HRIS maintenance, unemployment claims administration, employee relations, and will support the organization's mission, vision, and values.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition / Recruiting: Collaborate with the HR team on the recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, and participating in interviews.
  • Onboarding: Manage all aspects of pre-employment compliance, new employee setup, and orientation.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist with administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. Assist employees with inquiries and enrollment.
  • Workers Compensation: Administer Workers Compensation programs, ensuring timely reporting, claims management, and coordination with insurance providers.
  • Leave Administration: Coordinate claims for leaves of absence, PFL, short and long-term disability.
  • Data / HRIS Management and Maintenance: Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and documentation, including employee data, records, attendance, and timekeeping, and address employee payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Unemployment Claims Management: Responsible for all aspects of unemployment claims, including documentation, communication with relevant agencies, and representing the company in hearings/appeals.
  • Employee Relations: Assist in managing employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Multi-state HR Compliance: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist with ensuring company policies and procedures are in compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Position Requirements

Qualifications / Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or similar program required.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a substantial portion of it in a multi-state organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • HRIS experience, preferably with Paychex.
  • Human Resources Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP), preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state and federal employment laws and practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
