Aplin has partnered with our Calgary-based client to hire a Human Resources Generalist to provide support in the areas of recruitment, performance management and employee relations. The ideal candidate must have three to five years of experience as an HR Generalist with union experience.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Selection; collaborating with Hiring Managers to create job descriptions, job advertisements and interview questions
Onboarding and Exit Interviews
Be the key contact for all employee-related issues and concerns
Advise and coach Managers in handling employee issues and concerns
Provide advice to Managers on managing performance issues
Develop and oversee internal policies and ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations
Offer expert interpretation and advice on Collective Bargaining Agreements
HR Metrics and reporting
Qualifications:
University Degree in HR Management or any related HR discipline
CPHR Designation is an asset
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of HR Management policies and practices
