Salary: $70,000-$75,000

Position Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our client’s collaborative HR team. This individual will play a key role in supporting HR operations, employee relations, and payroll administration. The successful candidate will be a proactive and adaptable HR professional who brings hands-on experience with full-cycle payroll, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment efforts including job postings, screening, and coordination of interviews.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Administer training and development initiatives and maintain related documentation.
  • Support full-cycle payroll processing in Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislative and company policies.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance on HR practices, programs, and legislation to staff and management.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and internal events.
  • Assist with performance management processes and documentation.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Participate in HR projects and provide general administrative support as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
  • CHRP designation (completed or in progress) is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience; unionized environment experience is an asset.
  • Proven experience processing payroll from end-to-end using Workday.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, employment legislation, and payroll compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
