Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing HR support in the areas of employee relations, roll out of company programs, processes, policies, and engagement activities, administration of benefits and timekeeping system, onboarding, training and development, and other related functions. The HR Generalist will have a strong knowledge of Ontario labour laws, and minimum of five years of HR Generalist experience. This position assists the Regional HR Manager with key HR functions and administration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support in the areas of employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, and other related functions.
  • Support the application of HR policies and programs.
  • Benefit Administration: Health Insurance, Retirement savings plan.
  • Provide support to employees and managers in the areas of performance management and employee development.
  • Develop and execute internal training programs.
  • Assist with payroll processing for employees in Ontario.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or in pursuit to receive your Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfort with technology and strong ability to learn new systems.

Preferences

  • Bilingual in French and English (strong asset, not required).
  • Payroll processing experience.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

The primary office location for this role will be the Barrie facility however travel will be required to the various Ingersoll Rand offices located in Ontario.
