This position leads the Human Resources function for the Team Power Solutions group of companies. The role is responsible for developing and delivering all aspects of the People Plan for the organization including:
Workforce planning and recruiting
Learning and development
Performance management
Compensation, benefits, and wellness programs
Engagement and retention
Employee experience
Organizational design
The position also partners with other business units across the organization to help them build and develop their teams, make effective people-related decisions based on data and organizational alignment, and establish strong communication channels across all of our business units and locations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead the Human Resources team, ensuring that it operates effectively and executes on goals
Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to the Human Resources team
Work with leadership and the Human Resources team to build and execute the long-term strategy for Human Resources, and clearly articulates a broadly understood vision for the Human Resources function
Help maintain our vision, mission, and values and ensure that all Human Resources decisions, programs, and processes align with our overall strategy and core values
Prepare workforce plans, policies & procedures, and organizational design that support business goals
Maintain company-wide performance management programs that encourage a high-performance team and drives continuous, transparent feedback across the organization
Ensure appropriate learning and development programs are in place that support growth across our people, support retention, and prepare high-potential employees for management and leadership roles
Partner with other leaders to understand and anticipate hiring and skillset needs, and develop and execute plans to ensure the right resources are in place to deliver on objectives across the organization
Lead the recruitment function to ensure effective hiring of top talent for the organization aligned with workforce plans and objectives, help drive employer branding initiatives that enhance market awareness for Team Power Solutions as a top employer
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, state, and local laws and employment regulations and provide guidance to other leaders on relevant requirements
Provide advice and input to senior leadership on Human Resources risk management and relevant mitigation strategies. When needed, collaborate with legal counsel regarding employment matters and compliance with regulations
Prepare and maintain the budget for all Human Resources expenditures across the organization
Prepare, analyze, and report on Human Resources metrics across the organization that support effective planning and decision-making
Positively promote and support the company safety program and help to ensure adherence to all safety requirements across the organization
Ensure the development and maintenance of systems and databases that efficiently track relevant Human Resources information and metrics

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
10+ years experience in Human Resources or recruitment roles
5+ years experience leading the Human Resources or recruitment function at a medium sized company
Degree in human resources, business, or a related field
A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset
Proven success delivering high-impact programs around performance management, compensation, team engagement, and retention
High degree of confidentiality and professional judgment
Proven ability to inspire, engage, and motivate teams to achieve results and success
Experience implementing effective talent acquisition programs and building employer branding strategies
Outstanding EQ, interpersonal, and communication skills
Track record of building and enforcing company culture
Strong knowledge and understanding of Canadian and US employment legislation, HR policies and best practices
Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, HRIS systems such as Ceridian Dayforce, and leading Human Resources management tools an asset
