Emcon Services Inc.is a proud Canadian based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial Road and Bridge Maintenance Contractor. We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario as a Human Resources Coordinator supporting all Ontario operations.

If you answered yes, we want you to join our team!Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for:
  • Ensuring the efficient and effective administration of HR practices and procedure throughout the province of Ontario;
  • Complete benefit administration, (enrollment, queries and entering data into various programs) and completion of benefit and RRSP forms for new hires;
  • Answering general wage, and benefit queries;
  • Generating, maintaining and analyzing reports and documents as required;
  • Drafting offer of employments, change of role letters, as well as employment confirmation letters as requested;
  • Recruitment & Selection experience including interviewing, creating ads and posting them on different sites;
  • Preparing hiring & orientation packages; ensuring the delivery of these packages is consistent and in accordance with company policy and procedures;
  • Providing support to the HR Manager for any ad-hoc company-wide initiatives, tasks or requests;
  • Scheduling, reviewing, and advising on pre-employment drug tests;
  • Assisting in job fairs by providing advertising information handouts, purchasing giveaways and displays etc.;
  • Posting and maintaining LMIA ads on our advertising sites and maintaining the ad tracker;
  • Promoting and maintaining positive employee relations;
  • Other duties/projects as assigned
The successful candidate must have:
  • An HR related degree or diploma with two to three years’ experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience;
  • Proven experience working with Unions, managing benefits and recruitment & selection programs;
  • CHRP certification or working towards;
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills;
  • Organized, high-energy and have a strong attention to detail;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work on-site as this role is an on-site role.
This is a non-union, salaried, management position.
