Job description

Earls Kitchen + Bar is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator for a 14-month contract in Vancouver, BC, within our People Operations department. In this role, you will be a key partner in shaping the new hire experience and supporting onboarding, benefit administration, immigration support, and more. You are highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, taking pride in creating structure and driving a positive employee experience across the organization. Role Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update administrative tools, including employment contracts, Earls' intranet (the Perch), HRIS systems, and contact lists within the People Operations department.
  • Support the development, administration, and execution of Head Office onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Support the People Operations Team with research, development, and administration of tools regarding legal and employment law practices.
  • Support troubleshooting of Earls’ Human Resources Information System (HRIS) through the Zen Desk support ticketing system.
  • Assist Operations and Head Office with USA immigration visa applications and other immigration support as required.
  • Support Canadian and U.S. benefits programs, including monthly benefits admin and open enrollment; cross-train benefit administration to Payroll and People Operations teams.
  • Create, organize, and maintain best practices for team content and employee files within Google Drive and network drives.
  • Support and maintain the Head Office Health & Safety program by staying informed on provincial health and safety regulations, communicating changes, and conducting routine audits.
  • Coordinate and manage communications with operations and head office regarding department initiatives, new collateral, and team meetings.
  • Support with special HR projects as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in Human Resources or office administration, or relevant education and Earls experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple administrative tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and project follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS, intranets, and shared drives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Familiarity with immigration processes or willingness to learn.
  • Experience with onboarding, benefits, and Health & Safety initiatives is an asset.
  • Degree or diploma in HR, Business Administration, or related field is an asset.
