Job description

The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting recruitment efforts with a primary focus on part-time hiring and assisting throughout the full-time recruitment process. This includes tasks such as sourcing high-quality candidates, and partnering with hiring managers. This role will ensure the best-fit applicants are identified and hired, while leveraging established networks and pipelines to attract a diverse and qualified pool of candidates. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will take part in various HR led initiatives to improve the employee experience.

Please note this is a 13-month maternity leave contract with the possibility of an extension. This role is ideally suited for a recent graduate eager to make an immediate impact and broaden their HR skillset.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate recruitment cycle for part-time seasonal staff and assist with full-time recruitment.
  • Collaborate and partner with hiring managers and teams to create job postings, screen resumes, and conduct interviews.
  • Proactively source and attract a diverse pool of candidates through established networks and recruitment pipelines.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork and orientation materials are prepared and completed.
  • Accurately maintain employee profiles and information using HR systems and software.
  • Extract, manipulate, and audit data to generate reports.
  • Participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee initiatives.
  • Assist with internal and external HR-related inquiries and requests.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the manager.

What’s needed:

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or a relevant field.
  • 0 - 2 years of Human Resources or administrative experience; Industry certification or academic credentials related to the work is considered an asset.
  • Exposure to or familiarity with online and cloud-based technologies.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills.
  • Elevated level of customer service standard for both internal and external clients.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to build and foster positive relationships.
  • Effective and engaging presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Additional Assets:
    • Experience working with ADP Workforce Now.
    • Bilingualism in English and French.
