About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team on a contract basis to cover a maternity leave. This is a great opportunity for someone with 3+ years of HR experience looking to step into a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting daily HR operations, employee onboarding, HRIS administration, and employee engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding & Offboarding:
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes including offer letters, system setup, orientation, and exit interviews.
  • Employee Records & HRIS:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and records in HR systems (e.g., BambooHR, Dayforce, ADP, etc.).
  • Benefits & Leaves Administration:
  • Support benefits enrollments, respond to employee inquiries, and track leaves of absence (including sick, vacation, parental leaves).
  • Employee Relations Support:
  • Act as a first point of contact for general HR queries and support the HR team with policy interpretation and employee communications.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, maintain accurate documentation in sharepoint, and support audits or regulatory requirements.
  • Employee Engagement & Events:
  • Support internal initiatives such as employee engagement surveys, team events, and recognition programs

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Coordinator or Generalist role.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR processes, best practices, and employment standards.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with digital onboarding tools is an asset.
  • Ability to handle employee issues and follow protocols. Work in a dynamic and diverse environment
