Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Job Type: Hybrid

Location: 3 days onsite (multiple locations in GTA)

Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator will support a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with employees across all levels of the organization and play a key role in driving HR initiatives while ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee onboarding activities by organizing documentation, leading orientation sessions, and ensuring system and account setup for new hires.
  • Accurately input and maintain new hire data in HRIS platforms.
  • Maintain and update employee records within HR databases, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and employment legislation.
  • Support administration of benefits and pension plans, including processing enrollments, updates, and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job postings, reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with internal policies, health and safety regulations, and relevant labor laws.
  • Organize and manage employee records and documentation, maintaining both digital and physical filing systems.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, leave requests, and system navigation.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of employee engagement and wellness initiatives, as well as company-wide events.
  • Assist in the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and preparing necessary termination documentation.
  • Address routine employee issues and escalate more complex matters to the HR Manager when needed.
  • Monitor and track deadlines and progress for ongoing HR initiatives and projects.
  • Provide support for performance management activities, including tracking performance reviews and follow-up actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CHRP designation is an asset (or working toward certification).
  • Must have manufacturing experience as a HR.
  • 2+ years of experience in similar role (HR Assistant or Coordinator)
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional approach to interacting with employees, vendors, and external partners.
