Job summary

A leading healthcare facility in Toronto is looking for an HR Coordinator to support their Human Resources team. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of HR experience, preferably in a hospital setting, and will be responsible for developing HR programs and supporting recruitment efforts. If you are organized, have strong communication skills, and are passionate about people, we want to hear from you. This is a full-time contract role lasting approximately 12 months.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of general human resources experience required.
  • HR experience in a hospital environment preferred.
  • HRPA member in good standing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Human Resources department and management team.
  • Prepare reports from the HRIS as required.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and facilitate corporate orientation.

HR Coordinator – Temporary Full-Time

Position summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator takes an active role in the implementation, coordination, and delivery of corporate human resources programs. The role will provide guidance and support on new human resources initiatives and developing recruitment and retention strategies that are aimed at fostering employee engagement, with the goal of building organizational effectiveness for future hospital development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supports the Human Resources department and the management team, to ensure Human Resources programs are administered and implemented in accordance with Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Prepares reports from the HRIS as required for the proper administration and implementation of human resources programs and initiatives.
  • Supports full-cycle recruitment within a defined portfolio.
  • Coordinates new hire on-boarding and facilitates corporate orientation.
  • Ensures the recruitment process adheres to applicable laws, policies and collective agreements.
  • Participate in and conducts market analysis as required to ensure the Hospital remains competitive and fair.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications/experience:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and related Human Resources experience
  • HRPA member in good standing preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of general human resources experience required (including talent acquisition, HRIS, and total rewards)
  • Human Resources experience in a hospital environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of QHR is considered an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Operating System, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise tact and discretion, along with good judgment and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to develop rapport with all levels of staff.
