Job description

The HR Operations Coordinator provides direct administrative support to our corporate & retail teams, ensuring the culture of Benefit Cosmetics Canada & people experience aligns with our DNA. They are responsible for supporting payroll, leaves of absence, recruitment, onboarding & offboarding, as well as reporting & administration. This is a hybrid role, based in Toronto.

What You’ll Do:

Payroll & Benefits:

  • Support global payroll team with processing Canadian payroll changes. For up to 200 employees
  • Ensure all employee changes are entered into HRIS; processing changes including personal information updates, compensation updates, Records of Employment etc. in a timely manner
  • Support Corporate & Retail teams as first point of contact for all payroll & leaves of absence related questions and update global payroll team & Canadian employees on legislative changes that affect payroll.
  • Manage all leaves of absence & accommodations in line with provincial legislation & benefits plan.

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Responsible for all Retail job requisitions and postings; ensure all job sites (both internal and external) are updated regularly & track all New Hire Requests.
  • Support Regional Account Managers with recruitment – screening resumes, interviewing candidates, offer letters and onboarding, support HR Manager with overall Retail recruitment strategy.
  • Support Corporate employee onboarding, working with hiring manager and IT to ensure smooth & efficient onboarding for all new hires.

Reporting & HR Administration:

  • Complete employee paperwork & add to our HRIS platforms, for all new hires, change of status, & terminations, in addition to ensuring the LVMH Talent database is always updated.
  • Responsible for completing monthly LVMH headcount reports, & other reporting as needed.
  • Responsible for coding HR related invoices & submitting for payment via Medius.
  • Responsible for partnering with people managers on offboarding of corporate and field employees.
  • Responsible for submitting monthly workers compensation reports.
  • Special projects and all other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years’ experience in an HR role.
  • Prior experience with payroll administration, HRIS (preferably ADP) and recruitment an asset.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • High level of trust and integrity and ability to show discretion with confidential information.
  • Customer Service oriented with a proactive, helpful attitude and ability to be flexible in various situations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Must be a team player who is eager to learn.
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
