We’re currently seeking an Human Resource Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll help keep our HR operations running smoothly by supporting daily administrative tasks, maintaining accurate employee records, and contributing to a positive employee experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in key HR functions such as onboarding, payroll support, employee communications, and engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily administrative support for HR programs, employee documentation, and records management.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including scheduling orientations and preparing new hire paperwork.
  • Maintain and update HRIS and personnel files, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Process employee changes, such as job changes, leaves, and terminations, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist with payroll administration, including preparing employee changes, timesheet tracking, and liaising with payroll.
  • Support benefits coordination, such as enrollments, changes, and responding to basic employee inquiries.
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with background screening processes.
  • Compile and maintain HR metrics and reports, including attendance, turnover, and vacation tracking.
  • Coordinate internal HR communications, including policy updates, memos, and announcements.
  • Help plan and support employee engagement activities, such as events and recognition initiatives.
  • Support compliance efforts by helping to ensure consistency with policies and employment legislation.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR support or coordination role.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of HR processes, employment legislation, and best practices.
  • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word); experience with HRIS systems is an asset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and positive approach.
  • Experience supporting payroll and/or benefits administration is considered an asset.
