Job summary

A leading healthcare organization in Saskatoon is seeking a Human Resources Consultant to deliver comprehensive HR services. The candidate will support staffing, training, and labor relations while promoting service excellence and fostering a diverse team committed to client care. Salary : $39.3015 to $51.0918 (2 step range)

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The Human Resources Consultant is accountable for providing the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency with a full range of human resource services in the areas of staffing, employee and labour relations, organizational learning, training and development, compensation, organizational effectiveness and professional practice.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources Management, supplemented with a minimum of 3 year's human resources experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES

  • Knowledge of Human Resource best practices, trends and principles.
  • Knowledge of provincial labour legislation and administration of collective agreements.
  • Ability to interpret, advise, and negotiate.
  • Ability to motivate and coach managers, employees, and teams.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff, students, unions and the general public.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to lead or actively participate.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication including the ability to manage time, change and conflict.
  • Strong commitment to patient / client service excellence.
  • Knowledge of LEAN methodology and project management skills is an asset.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
