Job Description

At CIMA+, our strength lies in our people. We’re currently looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our growth in Ontario. As an HRBP, you will serve as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders and employees across the province. Reporting to the Lead HR Manager and working as part of a dynamic HR team, you will deliver people-centered HR solutions that align with regional needs and organizational vision. Your work will contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

You could be based out of our Mississauga or Bowmanville offices, with an expectation to be in the office at least 2 times per week, supporting offices across Ontario.

Your Impact at CIMA+

  • Partner with and coach managers and leaders on HR management including employee engagement, performance management, compensation, communication, training, talent acquisition, and policy management.
  • Build strong relationships with team members and leaders, promoting respect, integrity, and open dialogue.
  • Understand regional challenges and deliver tailored HR solutions supporting local and organizational goals.
  • Identify HR risks and opportunities, working strategically with leaders to navigate these and develop leadership capabilities.
  • Represent HR in internal projects, ensuring people-first solutions.
  • Support change management initiatives and foster a culture of evolution and innovation.
  • Act as a resource for employees on HR topics.
  • Stay informed of employment legislation and HR trends to ensure compliance and progressiveness.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition for onboarding and integration.
  • Lead or support employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 6+ years in HR Generalist or Business Partner roles, with a service orientation
  • Deep knowledge of Ontario employment laws and HR best practices
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence at all levels
  • Strong coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Self-starter with autonomy and accountability
  • Strategic thinker with good judgment and a drive for improvement
  • Experience in fast-paced, change-oriented environments
  • Membership in a recognized HR professional association is an asset
  • Experience in professional services or engineering consulting is a plus
