Overview

Summary: As a Human Resources Business Partner, your primary responsibility is to support our production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will provide support and coordination in implementing and applying Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices for all team members. Responsibilities include employee relations, health and safety, recruiting, training, time and attendance management, and other tasks as required. Prior human resources experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.

Contract Term: 6 to 12 months

Location: 5345 275 St, Langley Twp, BC V4W 3X8

Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between Operations, Talent and Development teams, and team members (full-time and agency staff)
  • Partner with Leadership to drive strategic growth within the Talent and Development team
  • Manage communications with employment agencies and support operations, shift, group, and team leaders in establishing relationships with team members
  • Implement Wonderbrands policies, protocols, and new initiatives, and communicate details effectively
  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to promote a culture of safety through training and meetings
  • Review resumes and coordinate interviews to fill key positions
  • Work with Operations Managers to determine staffing needs
  • Monitor requests from temporary employment agencies
  • Manage training documents for key roles
  • Investigate and resolve issues collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Assist in the process of progressive discipline and performance reviews
  • Participate in projects and manage internal job postings
  • Drive employee engagement and implement improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in a similar HR role
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, benefits, and labor relations
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR information systems
  • Experience with Health and Safety initiatives
  • Manufacturing and management experience required
